The Last Month Has Been Dandy

Image
Okay, it's been partially dandy ;) Lets see, random facts about the last month. I want a dog so bad. I don't know what it is, but I think about it all the time. I'm assuming it's partly because I am lonely when I run. and when I'm at home. And a dog could be my best friend? I send puppy pictures to my dad. He says no :( Want him.  I celebrated my mom's birthday on the 30th by getting myself this cute cupcake. My mom is pretty amazing, so of course I needed to party for her. Lime Ricki.  I've been doing yoga and running more. So great. The weather this last week has been PERFECT for great runs. I can't even handle it. I go run and I smile while I'm running because it just feels so great! Yoga has been good, I am taking a school class and also dabbling on my own. It's crazy the difference just a few weeks can make. I read Pride and Prejudice. Mmmm. Where's my Darcy? :) Look at me Darcy! Working at the preschool for autisti...

While my plan was to post every week, obviously I got sidetracked!! The new semester has been going pretty well.  My classes aren't too horrible yet and I've been able to get things done despite minor disappointment and scheduling difficulties. One thing I've learned so far is to be resilient when something doesn't go my way.  the basic story is that I completed intense training for a job, and it fell through. Of course afterwards I was devastated, but the more I've thought about it, the more I've been able to look at it from a different direction and see that maybe it wasn't as horrible as it seemed. My mom came out for my birthday weekend.  We had a lot of fun.  We spent a day shopping, eating good food, seeing family, we went to church, had a photoshoot with my roommates, did yoga together, cleaned my kitchen, watched Mean Girls, and so much more. I have the best mom and nobody better argue with me. If you know her, I'm sure you want her to be y...

Christmas Break

Image
Wow, there is so much to post but I don't remember any of it! Hmm... Saturday the 21st we had the Smith family Christmas party. It was a fun night with a pajama exchange and fun family time. The next day we headed down to bountiful and had the Howell party! Playing bingo and fighting over android vs. iPhone were the main activities :) I got to spend time with my family for the next 10 days. We had ham for Christmas dinner which is probably my favorite ;) Christmas was fantastic! I got a rice maker, the quilt I made got quilted, and I got all the things I wanted! The best part was just being able to see my family happy! After Christmas, the rest of the time was spent watching Alias, working out with my mommy (cross country skiing, power toning, running!), playing games and watching Glozell on youtube (New years eve activities), reading two books (Innocence by Dean Koontz, The Light Between Oceans, I would recommend both!), and a lot of sitting around. ;) Cousin time! Get the...

Now that it's been almost a month without writing, I will try to catch up or at least share a few things that have happened lately. I read a book! This is actually really an accomplishment. It is so hard to find time to read. I've been working a lot, Lets see. November flew by. Of course the best part was visiting family at thanksgiving.  It was nice to have a few days off work to just relax and spend time with the people I love! I also got to spend a day in Vernal which was too short but really great. My cute little brother Tyler got to go on his first date, and I got to see my best friends and have some really good visits. December has been pretty stressful so far. It has also been great at the same time. My favorite parts so far have been decorating my room with Brookie, sewing stockings, drinking hot cocoa (excessively), and our new mattresses.  I've also been starting to swim again with Jessica...and we're planning on doing USU swim team next semester! My ...
